A Good, fair and experienced negotiating partner, who negotiates what is best for the individual sportsman, is becoming essential. The sums involved are large and increasing and the meat of the matter is often in the “small” details, making it unwise to rely on oneself alone

The advisor should be independent, tested and approved. It is for this reason that, for example, FIFA introduced the Players` Agent for football. Others who should represent and advise the player are lawyers and members of his immediate family.
